Assignment 1 - SMART VILLAGES IN MALAYSIA

In this assignment, you are to form groups of 6-8 members and write a research paper and presentation of your chosen theme with minimum 5000 and maximum 7000 words. The first part of the essay will be a review of the related text for the chosen theme. Using these ideas as the theoretical framework of each particular theme, students are to analyze a particular researched topic highlighting the relationship between the theoretical ideas and the selected works. That should form the main part of the essay, which is the analysis of completed works.

SMART VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT: IMPLEMENTATION OF URBAN-RURAL TRANSPORTATION NETWORKS IN MALAYSIA

RESEARCH ESSAY

REFLECTION

Through research and literature review of various sources, me and my groupmates were able to understand the requirements to form a Smart Village in Malaysia. We realized that creating transportation networks is the first step towards improving rural and urban connection, enriching the lives of rural population. We formed a simulated test network in Johor to prove the viability of this idea which will bring many benefits to rural villages located in the outskirts. We believe the future development of Malaysia depends on this infrastructure, socially and economically.
