REFLECTION

From this project, me and my groupmates researched on the differences and similarities between these buildings. I have learned to research about the site context and site inventory of buildings. I was also exposed to the different architectural elements present in the buildings. Through Canva, we were able to create a magazine to showcase our research with infographics.

CONCLUSION

Architecture History & Theory

Architecture History & Theory is as the title says, research on historical building throughout different eras. In my opinion, some subjects were very interesting whereas some were more boring. Topics like Modern Architecture were more my cup of tea because they discussed different architectural styles that were more relevant to current society. Meanwhile ancient architecture focuses more on the lifestyle of the civilisation during that time. Research was the main focus of the projects, allowing me to learn about different architectural elements of historical buildings.

I think that this module is unaffected by the pandemic as the experience does not differ much online or in person. Doing activities and earning badges on TIMES was fun and allowed me to remember certain facts more. The quizzes were challenging because the answers to some questions cannot be found on the slides. The tutors also gave advice and help during projects on different aspects. The tutorial sessions were very chill and positive.
