ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN 1

PROJECT 1

This group project aims to explore different combinations of design principles and elements. These ideas and concepts are then translated onto diagrams and models throughout different parts of the project. The project encourages exploration of three-dimensional designs that are interesting and unique when shown from different angles. Communication of design is key as the project consists of 7 members in the team.

PROJECT 1

Geometry & Form: Expression through Architectural Design Elements & Principles

The Bermuda Triangle consists of two overlapping waves intersecting each other. The waves submerge up and down, creating a sense of chaos. Meanwhile, a triangular spiraling maelstrom tunnel brews within the waves. The design principles and elements are blended together in the form of the golden ratio.

REFLECTION

As my first project in this journey, this my first step into design and architecture. It was difficult to understand at first, but slowly the puzzle pieces came together. Just like how the different design elements and principles seem to clash, but compliment each other as you try out different methods. This group project highlighted also the importance of teamwork and communication, as groupmates try to synchronise their work and meet deadlines.

Sincere thanks to my groupmates and tutors
