PERSONAL STATEMENT

Ever since I was a little kid, I have always been fascinated by buildings. I was amazed by the sheer size and details of different structures and wondered how they were built. That is when I was told that architects were the masterminds behind every building ever existed. I have never let go of my aspiration to be one ever since.

Art and design was always what I wanted to do in life. As an introvert, I have a hard time communicating with people verbally. Only through art and design am I able to express my ideas and creativity to the world. With architecture, I am able to translate that into a physical form which are buildings and structures.

Going into this course, I understand the long working hours and sleepless nights I will have to endure. But the satisfaction of creating something that I can be proud of far outweighs the negatives. To be an architect is to be resilient and dedicated to your work, only then can you express your design intentions to the world.
